The Central Texas Food & Wine Festival is fast approaching and we want you to be a part of the fun!  This year marks our second annual Central Texas Food & Wine Festival, and we’re excited to once again bring this great event to Harker Heights and the surrounding area. We are holding the event on Sept. 8, 2012 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm at the new city sports complex and park. This beautiful, tree-shaded venue will lend itself beautifully to this day of wine, food and music that we have planned for our robust Fort Hood- centered communities of over 250,000.

This is a terrific opportunity for you to showcase your restaurant, winery, or catering business, by providing “tastes” of your best work to this large audience of potential customers.

Our concept is to “lease” your company a 12’ x 12’ space at the venue. See the Event Information page for pricing details. The spaces will be available on a first-come first-served basis.  We ask that you have enough tastings of your fabulous creations for up to 2,500 persons.  We’ll give you a projected head count by September 6. Electricity will be provided.

We will do the rest. Starting this summer, we will flood the Central Texas region with publicity for our event. This will include, electronic media, billboards, fliers, newspaper articles, advertising and more. The success of last year’s event will bring lots of word-of-mouth publicity as well. More than 850 people attended last year, and we are looking for and even bigger turnout this year.

Here are a few facts about this event:

WHERE – at the beautiful new Harker Heights Community Park located at 1501 East FM 2410, Harker Heights, Texas

WHEN – Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

WHAT –  A promenade of beverages and culinary delights to be sampled by the visitors from Harker Heights, Killeen, Fort Hood, Temple, Austin, Copperas Cove, Waco, Georgetown and beyond, while listening to cool summer jazz being played from the shady hilltop overlooking the venue.

WHO – Beverage and food vendors from throughout the market area, some great musicians and hoards of hungry Central Texans looking for all the fun they can stand!

AND…the BEST FOOD, BEST BEVERAGE and BEST DECORATED BOOTH all will win special plaques to display in the winners’ businesses!

WHY? – Why not?

A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE HARKER HEIGHTS PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT.
