Celebrity cowboy cook Kent Rollins is bringing the heat to the Harker Heights Food, Wine & Brew Fest and YOU could be part of the action!
We’re selecting 3 brave contestants to go head-to-head with one of Kent’s signature recipes. Each contestant will put their own twist on the dish, then face the ultimate test: Kent himself will decide who out-cooked the cowboy!
👉 Want your shot at culinary glory?
Create a video that is 1 minute or less explaining to Kent and Shannon why you should be considered as a contestant. Tell them the role their cooking has played in your life, show them what you’ve got. If you’re a super fan, impress them with your knowledge of Kents cowboy style, persona and skills or even the names of all the dogs. If you’re ready to bring the heat then throwdown a challenge. Get your family involved. It’s your video so make it personal to you but tell Kent why he and Shannon should consider you.
Three fans will be chosen from those submissions and invited to the competition. Remember, if chosen, you’ll receive two general admission tickets to the Harker Heights Food, Wine, and Brew Fest and have to be at the event by 1pm on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 in Harker Heights, Texas.
There will be another opportunity to compete. If you submitted a video but were not chosen, and, on the day of the competition, if you bought an admission ticket, check in with us on time at the Food, Wine, and Brew Fest letting us know you’re there, we will be doing a wildcard draw for at least one more fan to compete. Judging Criteria will be based on Presentation, Personality, Creativity, Taste & Cowboy Spirit.

Grandma’s Protégé: A retired veteran who didn’t start her culinary journey until age 55. In school, she leaned on Kent’s recipes for success, and to this day, she blends his inspiration with the lessons she learned from her grandmother. Her greatest joy? Cooking for others. |

The Champion Challenger: A Food Network winner and professional baker who admits she’s never tackled what she describes as “the most American dish ever, chicken-fried steak.” With Celiac disease, she’ll take on the extra challenge of crafting a gluten-free version packed with the flavors she thinks it will take to claim another championship. |

In addition to judging the competition, Cowboy Kent will be: • Selling and signing books and taking pictures with fans (Feel free to bring your own to get signed if you have it) • Doing a Meet & Greet and sharing behind-the-scenes stories from his new TV show, Cast Iron Cowboy on the Outdoor Channel in the VIP tent • Visiting with food vendors and celebrating Texas culture right here in Harker Heights |
