The Harker Heights Food, Wine, and Brew Festival isn’t just for adults, kids get their own corner of fun, too! Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Texas, families can look forward to a safe, exciting, and activity-filled space created just for our youngest festival-goers.

  • 🐐 Petting Zoo: Thanks to Slice of Heaven Farm, kiddos can get hands-on with the cutest barnyard friends! Kids can pet and meet gentle farm animals, including a fluffy Highland cow, up close for an unforgettable experience. ($5)
 
  • 🚂 Train Ride: Hop aboard Slice of Heaven's colorful festival train! Chug around the grounds, wave to the crowd, and enjoy a ride full of smiles and giggles. ($5)
 
  • 🎨 Face Painting: Transform into anything you can imagine—whether it’s a butterfly, tiger, superhero, or princess. Our artists will bring your imagination to life.  (Cheek/hand designs $2, full-face designs $5)
 
  • 🤠 Roping Station: Grab a lasso and try your hand at roping a life-size cow head set on a hay bale. It’s a rootin’-tootin’ challenge for little cowboys and cowgirls!
 
  • 🌽 Corn Dig: Dive into a giant pit of golden corn kernels! Hunt for hidden treasures and enjoy a fun sensory adventure kids love.
  • 🐎​Pony Rides: Thanks to C's Reigning Equines, kids can take a ride on a pony at the festival! ($5)

  • 📸 Photo Stations: Capture the magic of the day at themed photo spots throughout the Kids Area. Perfect for family selfies and silly snapshots.

  • 🥤 Root Beer & Kid-Friendly Beverages: Cool down with frosty root beer and refreshing drinks made just for kids. Delicious, bubbly, and oh-so-fun!

  • 🌳 A Quiet Family Area: Need a break from the excitement? Relax together in a calm space designed for families to rest and recharge.

  • 👮‍♂️ Character Visits: Say hello to some familiar faces! Special guests like McGruff the Crime Dog and other fun characters will be making surprise appearances. Get ready for high-fives, hugs, and photo ops with families.
